Frame:
The frame on the SOHO is constructed of kiln dried SOLID HARD ROCK MAPLE. You will find that all of the joints, including the stress related joints are corner blocked, doweled, stapled and then glued for extra strength. This technique will ensure durability for the life of the frame. You will also find the frame to be double padded on the inside and outside. This will make sure that the leather will never touch the wood frame and will be soft to the touch all the way around front to back.

Suspension Unit:
We incorporate in our suspension unit heavy duty 8 gauge sinuous spring steel. These "S" shaped steel springs are fastened to the top of the front rail and run from the front to the back of the piece two inches apart. These springs are attached to the frame using heavy duty euro life METAL clips. Two firm rods are used to hold the springs in place which offers additional durability to the sitting area, both on the front and back of each individual seat. We also attach a canvas barrier between the foam and the steel springs. This does not allow the foam to wear. We use five steel springs per seat to ensure the strength, comfort and durability of the foam cushion core. In addition: we use two solid wooden stretchers that runs front to back to stabilize and strengthen the frame against the tension of the steel sinuous springs. This adds to the strength of the frame itself.

Leather: 2590 Black & 2580 Vanilla
The leathers available on the SOHO are semi aniline. This means that the leather is colored thru and thru and does possess a light coat of polyurethane finish on the surface of the leather. This gives the consumer versatility in wear and use. The most common household stains can be easily cleaned with a damp cloth and mild soap if addressed within minutes of the spill, spot or stain. The SOHO is a frame that is designed to fit most any environment. This is why we dress it in the most flexible of leather color options; black and vanilla. These colors are the most versatile and will match any décor.

Cushions & Seating:
The seat cushions are composed of polyurethane foam cores that are DOUBLE wrapped with high quality dacron fiber around the entire seat cushion. The density of the seat cushions is 2.0. This is a unit of measurement of the number of porous holes in the cushion. The standard quality in our industry would be 1.8. The back cushions are SELF ADJUSTABLE. This means they are designed in such a way that anyone regardless of height can be comfortable. We execute this by making the base of the seat cushion 10 inches thick at the bottom and the top of the seat cushion 6 inches thick. This design allows for the person to control the amount of weight applied to the back, thus controlling the pitch. The back cushions also are DOUBLE wrapped with high quality Dacron fiber around the entire back cushion. You will also find each seat cushions has zippered access so that if you wish to add foam or fiber many years down the road, it will be very easy to do so.
